          Johnny Payne is an awesomely anointed gospel artist whom God has appointed to minister his word through music. He is a native of Vidalia, GA but currently he and his wife Desiree, children Demario and Trenesha now reside in Bainbridge, GA.

            Johnny was born to Mr. Johnny Payne, Sr. and Mrs. Blandy Payne.  Upon growing into the realization of his love for music at a young age at the First AB Church in Vidalia, GA, he decided to make music his area of study once attending college.  Payne attended and studied music at Brewton Parker Jr. College in Mt. Vernon, GA as well as Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, FL.

           Johnny is influenced by the music of some gospels most prominent Music Ministers Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and John P Kee. He states, “They worship with true love and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that’s what I want”.

           Over the past 20 years Johnny has used his gift of music in Juvenile Justice facilities in both Georgia and Florida that he was Operations Director over. He has a tremendous gift to work with wayward youth, using music as a therapeutic tool to govern and maintain unacceptable behaviors. As his passion for music continued to flourish, Payne utilized his knowledge of the art of music and released a cd project in 2005 entitled, “I’ve Been Restored,” an EP consisting of 6 songs. 

           In September 2009, God allowed Johnny and other individuals to cross paths and this “meeting” resulted in the formation of Johnny Payne and TCO (The Chosen Ones) and the name says it all…for they have truly been chosen to deliver the living word in song to a dying nation. As recent as this year, Payne & TCO released a cd project entitled, “Count It All Joy” which speaks to the heart of the true praiser and worshipper and has been given recognition on radio stations across the country. This album consists of 10 spirit-filled songs that the listeners cannot get enough of.

           A man after God’s heart, Johnny is looking to release more projects in the future and yet aspires to continue to transform the lives of God’s people. By relinquishing the wheel of life and allowing God to be the driver, he has yielded himself a willing vessel unto God…set aside for the Master’s use.
